This is precisely what we were aiming for when we launched this series, and we welcome the submission of stories, photographs and comments for future editions. *SHIPPING TO THE EU – NEW RULES AND IMPORTANT INFORMATION
As of 12 August 2026, new shipping rules came into force for all businesses worldwide that ship items to the European Union. Any business that sends items of any kind to the EU that requires packaging (in other words, every business, and every item) now needs a recycling licence for each EU country. As a result, I have applied for licences for some of the biggest EU countries that I deal with. This is a long and complicated process, and it isn’t free. I am still waiting for several licences to be issued, and unfortunately that means that for now, for the EU market I will be able to ship items to GERMANY AND THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND ONLY once the books are delivered from the printer. IN ADDITION I HAVE APPLIED FOR RECYCLING LICENCES FOR THE FOLLOWING COUNTRIES:
BELGIUM
AUSTRIA
FRANCE
NETHERLANDS
ITALY
NORWAY
These licences are all still pending. As soon as I have them I will update my shipping policies for the EU.
IN THE MEANTIME I AM OFFERING EU CUSTOMERS IN THE ABOVE LISTED COUNTRIES THE OPTION TO ‘EXPRESS AN INTEREST’. – Simply email me at
chandosenquiries@gmail.com with the subject heading PLEASE RESERVE A BOOK, let me know your name and email address / contact details, and I can then set aside a copy of the book and let you know when I am able to ship it. Please note that I do not yet know when this will be, but hope to have the recycling licences I need by the end of this year (2026).
