Yesterday I took delivery of the print-ready PDF files for our new book on the He 115. This title has been gestating for some time – in fact over ten years – and it has taken a massive amount of work to get it ready for publication. Over the coming days I will be updating the website with details of how to order. The book is extremely comprehensive, with 392 pages, hundreds of photos, drawings and profiles, as well as extensive production and loss-lists and an examination of Werknummer blocs. This book aims to dispel the myths that have perpetuated about the type over the last 80 years, and to finally present, in English, the most comprehensive book yet on this enigmatic aircraft.

Hs 129 and Blitz Bombers Print order placed today

Good news – today I pulled the trigger and placed the print order for the reprints. I expect to take delivery in 6-8 weeks although it could be sooner.

Due to popular demand, we are going ahead with a limited reprint of both Hs 129 Panzerjager! and Blitz Bombers. We hope to take delivery of the books at the end of May. Both domestic and Worldwide customers can now go ahead and pre-order both titles direct from the shop on this website, or alternately wait until the items are listed for sale on our eBay store. The advantages of buying on eBay are that any taxes due are paid at source – this feature is more relevant to customers outside of the UK. Domestic customers please feel free to pre-order direct from our website.

If you purchase more than one title, you will receive an automatic 10% discount!

The books will also be available from EU and US distributers. If in doubt, please drop us a line for advice.

Hi again Luftwaffe fans!

I am please to announce that our new title ‘Graf Zeppelin’s Eagles: An Operational History of the Messerschmitt Bf 109 T’ by Francis L. Marshall is now in stock and available to buy. Head on over to the shop to find out more and place your order.

We are working hard on our next two projects – as yet untitled books on the Do 17/215 ‘Kauz’ nightfighters by Mikael Olrog, and on the He 115 by Kjetil Aakra, Bjorn Hafsten Andreas Brekken and Juan-Carlos Salgado…..and of course we are still working as well on our long-delayed book on the He 219. We have gathered massive amounts of information for the latter, and it is simply a question of wading through it all. We promise that the end result will be the best book we can possibly produce, so keep watching!

Hi everyone,

It’s been a really strange year, and there have been several developments at Chandos too.

First of all, there will be a delay to the He 219 book. This is perhaps inevitable given the huge amount of new information we have uncovered. We hope to get the book to press *sometime* in 2021.

The Bf 109 T book by Francis L. Marshall is in the copy-editing stage, with work due to start on profiles, drawings, design and layout in the first half of 2021.

Finally, we have signed a new book on the the History of the Do 17 Z-7, Do 17 Z-10 & Do 215 B-5, the ‘Kauz’ night-fighters of Dornier, by Mikael Olrog. Again, we hope to have the manuscript in our hands in early 2021, with a view to publishing the book at the end of 2021 / in early 2022

Bf 109T book signed, due for release late 2021

I’m pleased to announce that I have signed Francis L. Marshall (author of the long OOP ‘Sea Eagles’) to write a completely revised and updated book on the Kriegsmarine’s Bf 109T carrier-borne fighter. The book will be enhanced by colour profiles and scale drawings, and I hope to get it ready for publication in  mid to late 2021. I received a manuscript yesterday and first impressions are excellent. More news as I get it!

He 219 Manuscript is now in the editing stage

I’m excited to announce that the manuscript for our forthcoming book on the He 219 is now at the editing stage. Over the next 4 months we will revise it, and the design and layout process will begin. This is an ambitious project, and we are aiming for the most comprehensive book ever published in English on the type, which is no mean feat. More news and announcements as soon as possible!

Blitz Bombers and Hs 129 books now sold out!

Many thanks to the hundreds of you who bought both ‘Hs 129 Panzerjager’ and ‘Blitz Bombers’. These two titles are now completely sold out. If there is enough interest I may be able to organise a short print run of both titles, but I would need a minimum of a couple of hundred orders.

New Arado 234 Book – Now Taking Pre-Orders!

I am pleased to announce that the our Arado 234 Book ‘Blitz Bombers’ is now ready to pre-order!  Under normal circumstances, once the print order is placed I could expect delivery in 4-6 weeks. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this timeframe will most likely be extended by a couple of weeks. However, I have been assured that our printer is operating as usual.
